The world's home and kitchenware industry meets in Istanbul

At the Turkish Houseware by Invitation Only Türkiye event, over 200 qualified buyers from over 70 countries will meet with over 100 manufacturers from Türkiye. Home and Kitchenware Manufacturers and Exporters Association President Talha Ozger stated that they will make significant contributions to the Turkish brand and said, “The bonds we have established form the basis of long-term collaborations. We are strengthening the position of our sector in the international market by progressing more selectively and in a more target-oriented manner every year. We will break a record this year in terms of both the number of participating countries and the number of buyers. More than 200 buyers from Europe, America, Latin American countries, Africa and the Middle East will meet with Turkish manufacturers. Our event is the showcase of the Turkish home and kitchenware sector opening up to the world. This year, we have created a very valuable atmosphere that strengthens the reputation of our sector on a global scale. Buyers visiting Türkiye had the opportunity to closely get to know not only our product quality but also our business culture, reliability and production power. In this structure where we progress more selectively and more target-oriented every year, we are very proud to be the mediator in strengthening the positions of our companies in international markets. We believe that we are also adding strength to the Turkish brand. We will continue to bring our sector together with international players. This organization, where we showcase Türkiye's production power, understanding of quality and potential, now has a priority on the agenda of buyers from all over the world. This shows us that it is possible to take much stronger steps in global competition with the right content, right planning and right platform," he said. Also evaluating the figures of the Turkish home and kitchenware sector, Özger said, "On an annual basis, we reached a volume of 3.16 billion dollars with a 1.3 percent decrease compared to 2023. We started 2025 with losses. In the first quarter of 2025, we achieved 741 million dollars of exports with a 6.4 percent decrease compared to the same period of the previous year. As of March, the trend turned upwards compared to February. Despite the difficulties experienced in Europe, both the increase in March and the 1.4 percent increase in export unit value are promising for the sector."

Burak Onder, who emphasized that Invitation Only is both a very important project for the sector and a very valuable work for industrialists and exporters in Türkiye, said, "It is very valuable for institutions to cooperate and organize such an organization. Türkiye has very important opportunities. We attach importance to these organizations in order to evaluate these opportunities and carry out specific studies. Both our country and our industrialists and exporters have limited resources. Therefore, it is very important to increase both the number of participants and visitors and to organize these organizations with more economical budgets by making such cooperation."
