Obese dog 'Duman', who lost 10 kilos in 3 months, is waiting for adoption

Duman was treated under the supervision of veterinary technician and physiotherapist Yağmur Denli. Duman, who was put on a special diet, also had an exercise program prepared. Duman was put on an exercise program every day on the treadmill and on the playground with a pilates ball. Duman lost approximately 10 kilos in 3 months with diet and exercise, dropping to 45 kilos. With his weight loss, his herniated disc problem also decreased. Duman is now waiting to be adopted.

Yağmur Denli stated that Duman's health checks were first performed and that they determined the treatment to be applied according to the cause of his obesity, and made the following statements:
"Duman came with walking problems but we were overweight. He was over 50 kilos. He gained a little extra weight because they looked after him too well on the street and as he got older, he had a problem with a herniated disc, difficulty walking and after a while he came to our clinic with a complaint of stopping walking completely. We started walking first. We also lost weight. The reason for his weight gain was completely overeating, unbalanced diet and not moving. But now we walk and run. In fact, he continues his life so happily that even he is aware of it. He started moving much more and enjoying himself much more. Duman came to our center with a weight close to 55 kilos. He is now down to 45 kilos.''

Underlining that Duman should be adopted after his weight loss process, Denli said, "We worked hard for Duman. After all this effort, we don't want him to go outside. Because he is an older child. Due to his weight, his herniated disc problem may reoccur after he gains weight. The slightest problem he will experience on the street will set this process back. For this reason, he should have a forever home with a garden where he can spend the rest of his life happily. Duman is very happy in the garden and outside because he has been living on the street for years. We are looking for a home for Duman."
