İŞKUR will guide students in their YKS preferences

Nazan Öksüz, Head of the İŞKUR Job and Career Counseling Department, stated that DABİS provides information on employment rates for various professions. She said, "The Counselor Information System is a career information system based on objective data, consisting of indicators that evaluate graduates' labor market performance. This system provides comprehensive career counseling services from secondary school to post-secondary education. Our job and career counselors, along with guidance counselors registered with the Ministry of National Education (DABİS), use this system to guide young people in the selection process. Guidance and counseling services are provided to young people in the selection process."
'THEY CAN RECEIVE CONSULTANCY SERVICES'Öksüz, reminding that it's currently the YKS application period, said, "The exam has been held, and our young people will be making their choices. During this process, students who haven't chosen their department or are undecided about their major can learn about post-graduation labor market indicators and entrepreneurial ecosystem indicators through job and vocational counselors and guidance counselors. For example, they can learn about the employment rate of graduates of any department, the time it takes to find a job, the waiting period between jobs, the public sector employment rate, the academic employment rate, the sectors in which graduates of this field work, and what awaits them after graduation through various indicators such as the entrepreneurship rate. They can register by visiting 'Dabis.iskur.gov.tr'. Young people who register receive a code, and with this code, they can go to İŞKUR provincial directorate service centers and receive consulting services from our job and vocational counselors."
Öksüz also stated that they held a Virtual Career Promotion Fair for young people on July 23rd, 24th, and 25th. "Because it's the preference season," he said, "we're providing online consulting and preference counseling services to our young people through our consultants at this fair. There are four foyer areas set up at the fair. Young people who will be making their choices based on numerical, verbal, equal weight, TYT, and language scores can also learn directly from department professors and professionals in these areas. Throughout the three-day fair, both professionals and academics in 72 professions will meet with our young people in seminars. These seminars, in addition to presentations by academics and professionals, are held in an interactive online format where young people can ask questions."
