A patient narrowly escaped death after an implant screw got stuck in his lung.

While the patient named FT, who lives in the İpekyolu district of Van , was receiving implant treatment in an external dental clinic, the implant screw accidentally went into his trachea.

Due to the screw leaking into the trachea, the patient was referred to Van Training and Research Hospital for further examination and treatment.

The patient underwent a bronchoscopy. The screw, located in the upper lobe of the left lung, was difficult to dislodge due to its screw-like structure and location.

Although the screw couldn't be removed after a long and meticulous procedure, the patient later developed a cough that forced the implant screw into her stomach. The screw was then eliminated from her body naturally.
