Pop singer Mustafa Sandal, who recently gave a concert at Harbiye Open Air Theatre, made the following remarks after performing his new song "Aşkına Destan" (Depict for Love), referring to rapper Lvbel C5's song "Havhavhav": "I thought for a while, should I make a song called 'Meow Meow'? Then I said, 'You are Mustafa Sandal.' I didn't feel right."

Mustafa Sandal responded to Lvbel C5 by sharing a new statement on his social media account:

We touched hearts, and thankfully, we've reached this point. Instead of saying "havhav" or "meow" to get clicks, I said on stage that I made "Aşkına Destan" in my own style. It was a critique of the temperament of the time. If my joke offended you, Mustafa, please forgive me. I don't want to upset a young brother. I hope you're one of those who endure and touch hearts, not one of those who bully. I wasn't offended by what you said; in fact, I laughed. I wish you endless success in your musical journey."

Meanwhile, İrem Derici and Aydinge also joined the polemic.

Derici supported Lvbel C5: "First we rant, which is what I did. The man responds. Then we get excited as if he started it."

Aydilge reacted to the rapper by saying, "It would be ridiculous to expect someone who constantly says 'I have a car, I have women' to understand someone who says 'He has a car, but unfortunately he doesn't have a soul.' We are not what we have. We are what remains when they are taken from us."
