According to a report in Milliyet , Meral Kaplan, a well-known face on Turkish television, was allegedly taken into custody in a massive 23 million lira fraud investigation! The operation, targeting a five-person fraud ring that allegedly took millions of lira from a single person by promising to sell them a plot of land in Arnavutköy , reportedly involved money transferred to actress Kaplan's account.
Actress Meral Kaplan responded to those allegations on her social media account.

However, when the sale did not materialize, the victim realized that he had been defrauded and filed a complaint.
During the operation, S.Ö. and those acting with him, D.Ö. (28), A.Ş. (38), NT (45) and MD (26), were detained. Two unlicensed pistols and a large number of bullets were also seized from the suspects.

It was claimed that the famous actress Meral Kaplan was also detained.
In his statement, Kaplan denied the accusations, claiming the money was transferred to his account by a friend and that he was unaware of the details. Following processing at the police station, the actor was referred to the courthouse and released on probation.
As part of the investigation, suspects S.Ö., D.Ö., and A.Ş. were brought to court and arrested. The other three, including Meral Kaplan, were released on probation.
