A drug warehouse in Fatih was engulfed in flames.

A drug warehouse in Fatih was engulfed in flames.

According to reports, a fire broke out at 10:00 a.m. in the drug store at the entrance of a four-story building on Saray Külhanı Street in the Fatih Ayvansaray neighborhood. The fire is believed to have started due to an electrical fault at the store's entrance. Firefighters and police were dispatched to the scene after being alerted by residents. Arriving at the scene, the teams began extinguishing the flames. While the fire was extinguished by the firefighters, the drug store was reduced to ashes. The building sustained extensive damage.

"There was a fire in the building"

Emrullah Ozan, who lives on the street where the fire broke out, said, "I wasn't there, the children were here. They called, and suddenly the fire broke out. The insulation on the building was what really fueled it. I live next door, and the building is damaged."

"The pharmacy was previously a grocery store"

Mine Ozan, who saw the fire, said, "We saw the fire. The children saw it too; their aunt was living there. We rushed downstairs. We don't know why it started. It was a pharmaceutical warehouse, a grocery store at the time, and it was being used well. We were afraid, so we didn't know what to do, but thank God it's over."
