Man shot dead in the center of Póvoa de Varzim

A man aged around 30 was killed this Sunday with a firearm in Póvoa de Varzim (Porto), next to Póvoa Arena (former bullfighting venue) and the case is being investigated by the Judiciary Police, a police source said.
A source from the PSP in Póvoa de Varzim told Lusa that the death was recorded on Rua Artur Aires, next to Póvoa Arena, an events space and formerly the local bullring, and that the alert was given at 5:13 am on Sunday morning.
The fatal victim is a foreign citizen living in Portugal, around 30 years old, he added.
The case was handed over to the Judiciary Police for investigation and there have been no arrests to date.
Elements of the Póvoa de Varzim Fire Department, the Public Security Police (PSP) and the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) were at the scene.
Lusa attempted to obtain further clarification from INEM, but was unable to do so.
