President Erdoğan: "The doors of a new era are opening for our country"

President Erdoğan: "The doors of a new era are opening for our country"

President and AK Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke at the closing of his party's 32nd Consultation and Evaluation Meeting in Kızılcahamam. Erdoğan noted a significant format change at the camp this year, saying, "Instead of presentations and Q&A-focused meetings, we opted for more narrow-scoped, interactive sessions. As a result, all participants had the opportunity to ask questions of our cabinet members, communicate, assess the current affairs, and share their cities' challenges. Also this year, for the first time, we held the 2025-2026 Strategic Plan Workshop on the camp's perimeter."

Erdoğan stated that he received information from Secretary General Eyyüp Kadir İnan about the issues highlighted in the workshop. He said, "Hopefully, we will work more diligently on the problem areas shaped by your suggestions and address our shortcomings. From the visuals to the slogan, from the new, enthusiastic song we heard for the first time yesterday morning to the rest of the arrangements, our camp was more professional and more organized. Details were meticulously worked on. I also congratulate our General Secretariat and the Directorate of Promotion and Media, who underwrote all these innovations. The AK Party continues to improve itself in every project it undertakes and every program it organizes, following a relay race, drawing on past experiences. As always, we are competing with ourselves here. God willing, we will continue this path in the future."

Erdoğan, noting that they held productive meetings during the two-day sessions, said, "We exchanged ideas on a wide range of topics, particularly foreign policy, security, and the economy. We discussed our country's issues and our nation's problems. In addition to our ongoing work, we also evaluated our projects for the upcoming period. Our ministers and deputy chairman colleagues shared their ideas on a wide range of topics and answered questions. As always, during today's general consultation and evaluation session, our participants freely asked questions of our cabinet members, raised issues, and shared their suggestions. We also received some of the questions and answers in writing, and our Secretary General made his observations. We will prepare their answers and present them separately."

President Erdoğan emphasized that the progress made in the Terror-Free Turkey process and the steps that can be taken from now on are among the most important agenda items. He said, "Our deputy chairman made a comprehensive presentation on this subject. Our colleagues also provided information on important topics such as political communication, organizational culture, parliamentary group activities, and development-focused activities. We have determined our 2025-2026 strategic plan roadmap. During this process, we met with the participating colleagues, conversed, received their requests, and strived to keep abreast of the field. I thank each and every colleague who contributed to our meeting with their presentations, questions, and assessments. Hopefully, the shared wisdom emerging here will shed light on the development and implementation of our policies."

"The doors of a new era are opening for our country"

Erdoğan, noting that they received sincere, comprehensive, and profound evaluations of his opening address, said, "We see that our messages, which inspire confidence in our friends and brothers and instill fear in our enemies and rivals, have found their place. Our nation's blessed journey from a glorious past filled with victories to a bright future has, thankfully, reached a new milestone. Brothers and sisters, remember this: the doors of a new era are opening for our country. Step by step, we are bringing our ideal of the Century of Turkey from strength to action. We have reached the brink of completely freeing our nation from the shackles of terrorism that were imposed upon it 47 years ago. Our half-century-long struggle for patience is slowly coming to fruition. We are already seeing concrete signs of this. The ceremony held on Friday was significant in this regard."

Erdoğan stated that they are closely monitoring the arms delivery process on the ground through a mechanism established under the leadership of the National Intelligence Organization and the Turkish Armed Forces. He said, "Our Speaker is already overseeing the formation of the Parliamentary Committee. We hope to receive concrete news from there soon. Our wish is for all political parties to support the steps to be taken within the Parliamentary framework with good intentions. No one has the right to disrupt, undermine, or sabotage the process, or to make petty claims, especially on such a matter. In life and politics, almost everything can be compensated for, but there is no compensation for compromising, being a whiner, or displaying an uncompromising attitude on such a vital issue that will affect the unity, peace, social peace, and tranquility of 86 million people. My nation will not forgive this."

"As the AK Party, when it comes to the future of Türkiye and the Turkish nation, we are ready to talk to everyone."

Stating that we are going through days when politicians should remember their duties to the nation more and fulfill their obligations, Erdoğan said, "First of all, I want every citizen in Türkiye to know this. As the AK Party, when it comes to the future of Türkiye and the Turkish nation, we are ready to talk to everyone. We sincerely desire this. We are open to criticism. We are open to new ideas. We are open to recommendations. We are open to criticism. As long as it is for the benefit of Türkiye. As long as it is for the good and benefit of this nation. I am emphasizing this again. We welcome all the positive and negative opinions of everyone who does not make the issue an appetizer of ideological fights, political disputes, completely different agendas, and cunning attempts to ambush their interlocutors. Because we are not engaged in personal politics. We are not engaged in self-interest politics. We are not engaged in petty politics. We are engaged in national politics. We are engaged in Turkish politics, in the politics of civilization. Whatever we do, we are engaged in the interests of all members of our nation, especially the relatives of our martyrs and our veterans." We are doing so considering their sensitivities and our country's future interests. We understand those who still view this process with sincere caution, skepticism, and even reserve, and we are making every effort to alleviate their hesitations. It should not be forgotten that this new era, whose parameters are being shaped, imposes very important responsibilities not only on the AK Party, the Nationalist Movement Party, or the Democratic Party (DEM), but also on the entire political institution, all political actors. We believe it is crucial that party leaderships participate in the process without confusing issues and, in particular, by curbing their personal ambitions. Stating that the three parties are determined to carry this process through to its conclusion, Erdoğan stated the following:

"At a time when the world and our region are virtually being restructured politically, socially, economically, and militarily, we can only carry our country to its rightful place in this way. Only in this way can we establish a great and powerful Türkiye. My dear companions, I say this for the following reason. As you know, we unfortunately missed the opportunity to take an active part in the global order established after World War I because we had just liberated our country from occupation. We failed to take part in the order re-established after World War II, first because of the single-party CHP's lack of vision, and then because the democracy and development initiative launched by the Democrat Party was thwarted by coups. Similarly, the vision put forward by the late Özal after 1980 was blatantly squandered by incompetent and ambitious politicians. We paid the price for this together, as a nation. We paid with instabilities. We paid with economic crises. We paid with bankrupt banks. We paid with social upheaval. We paid with terrorism, turmoil, and tension. We paid with political assassinations. We paid with social provocations. We paid the price with a crooked public administration that made going beyond the established norms a routine. We paid the price with the weakening of our democracy and the strengthening of tutelage. The AK Party's 23 years in power were undoubtedly a period in which Türkiye was preparing for today, a time when it had leapt forward in every field. In fact, throughout our time in power, we were exposed to many traps, games, scenarios, and insidious attacks.

"Now we are faced with a new scenario"

"With God's help and our nation's unwavering support, we have managed to overcome them all. Now we are facing a new scenario," said Erdoğan, adding, "We cannot view the recent street threats, the unlawful actions carried out under the guise of politics, the irresponsible and unconscious political discourses as independent of what we have experienced in the last 23 years. Remember, this time, the extras are different, but the play is the same. Because we have watched this theater play many times. We now know the goals, the methods, and the actors very well. The cards are being shuffled again in the world, and by keeping Turkey busy with its own domestic agenda, they are trying to leave it out of this wave of change. They are trying to undermine not only the climate of hope that our terror-free Turkey process has fostered in society, but also our country's strategic moves. By publishing boycott lists targeting national brands, they are trying to damage our economic program. They are trying to prevent Türkiye from solving its own problems and producing domestic and national solutions to its problems. This, my dear brothers and sisters, is the fundamental purpose of the tension fueled through street calls despite the increasing social reaction. "This is also the reason why we do not take them seriously despite all the efforts of the caricature character at the helm," he explained.

Erdoğan said, "We are very aware of who and which power groups we are fighting against. Our interlocutors are not puppets, but puppeteers who manipulate them as they wish. When we say this, gentlemen immediately get uncomfortable. But why would our brotherhood manifesto of yesterday bother anyone? Why would a child of this country be disturbed by Turks, Kurds, and Arabs embracing each other and forming an alliance today, as it has been in history? Yesterday, they came out and accused us of being Ummahists. Oh, poor thing, for God's sake. Since when has defending the unity, peace, and solidarity of the Ummah become a crime? Of course, these people don't know what the consciousness of Ummah is and what it isn't. What is wrong with us, as Muslims, uniting together like bricks of a wall, as our Prophet commanded? They are so heedless? What is the fault in striving for the unity of the Islamic world? Are you so disconnected from the faith and values of the nation? Are you so alienated from Türkiye and the Islamic world? They say we will stand against Ummahism. So what are you going to do? The Westerners you complain about your country say, Will you wield your bosses' sword and sow discord among Turks, Kurds, and Arabs? Will you incite hatred? Will you escalate the conflict? What exactly will you do? What can we say? May Almighty God grant them wisdom, understanding, and foresight. To those who accuse us of practicing ummah, I say only this; I also address my nation watching us on their screens: We are of the Turkish nation. We are of the ummah of the Prophet Muhammad. We have been lovers of the ummah not just today, but since time immemorial. We are lovers of our honorary prophet. Advocating for an end to division, separation, and discord among Muslims is not a shameful crime; it is an honorable stance of faith. And we are honored and proud of this. May God grant us the opportunity to work alongside our nation for all Muslims, for the ummah of Islam, and indeed for all of humanity, until our last breath."

A W496297 10 With a terror-free Türkiye, we will, God willing, spend these resources on retirees, farmers, tradesmen, civil servants, industrialists, housewives, and all 86 million people.

Erdoğan, once again emphasizing their determination to finalize the process of a terror-free Turkey, said, “No matter what they do, they won’t succeed this time. They won’t be able to come between us and our goals. They won’t be able to turn us back from our blessed journey. They won’t be able to prevent this country from shedding the half-century-old shackles of terror. Look, as I said yesterday, the cost of separatist terrorism to our country is around two trillion dollars. For years, we allocated resources to the fight against terrorism that should have been spent building schools, hospitals, roads, factories, and supporting farmers, students, and merchants. With a terror-free Turkey, God willing, we will now spend these resources on retirees, farmers, tradesmen, civil servants, industrialists, and housewives—all 86 million people. So what does this mean? This retiree will receive a higher monthly salary. This tradesperson will earn more. This student will receive more scholarships. This industrialist will receive more incentives. This means more schools, more hospitals, and more factories. This means the bread on our table will grow and our opportunities will expand.” A terror-free Turkey means a Turkey that is developed, strengthened, prosperous, and has further raised the standard of living of its citizens. We emphasize at every opportunity that the 86 million people will be the ones who will benefit from this. Thank God, we are better today than yesterday. Tomorrow, we will be even better than today. And our children, God willing, will be much better. They will live in a terror-free Türkiye, in a terror-free region. And you have seen this too. What have we all done together in the last three or four days? We have witnessed this truth once again. As the AK Party, we carry the hope of hundreds of millions of oppressed people, along with 86 million. The calls I receive from leaders also demonstrate this to me. And why are these calls coming? The leaders who have been inseparable from Turkey are all burning with love for it right now."

Erdoğan, noting that hands are raised to the heavens for Turkey in all 81 provinces and all over the world, said, "In Gaza, Damascus, Jerusalem, Iraq, Pakistan, Somalia, and many other places, faithful hearts are praying for us for the success of this team. We have two clear choices before us: either we will fulfill these prayers and these expectations and embrace the responsibility that history, ancestors, civilization, and nation have placed on us, or, God forbid, we will not only betray the hearts of our nation but also disappoint the millions who have turned to us. I believe that none of my brothers here will bear such a heavy responsibility. Remember, not only the eyes of 86 million, but also the eyes of the entire Islamic world, the entire Ummah of Muhammad, are on this team. They are on you. Now is the time to make the real leap, the real breakthrough. Now is the time to take what is rightfully ours as a country and nation. Now is the time to raise Turkey's century. We see that beautiful days and very bright tomorrows await Türkiye, and this As a member of the nation, I am already feeling this excitement with a tremor," he said. Addressing party members, President Erdoğan said, "I implore each and every one of you to work with this awareness. Starting with the closing of Parliament, we will work harder, run more, and be on the field more. We will further increase our affection for all segments of our nation. We will patiently tell the truth tirelessly, without getting tired, and will explain to our people, one by one, what we are doing and why, and we will convince them. We cannot look down on our people; humility befits us. We will be together with our citizens in a humble manner. And I believe that this humility will elevate us before our people. May God be our helper and guide us. I hope that our 32nd Consultation and Evaluation Meeting of the AK Party will be auspicious."
