New book crisis: Ex-husband's allegations infuriate Britney Spears

New book crisis: Ex-husband's allegations infuriate Britney Spears

Pop star Britney Spears issued harsh statements on social media following allegations made against her in her ex-husband Kevin Federline's memoir, which will be published on October 21. Spears accused Federline of "psychological manipulation" and blamed him for the deterioration of her relationship with her sons.

The 43-year-old singer stated that she has had problems with her sons Sean Preston (19) and Jayden (18) for a long time, saying, "I always begged and screamed to live a life with my sons." Spears said that she has only been able to see one of her sons for 45 minutes in the last five years, while her other son has visited her only four times.

“MANIPULATION AND DISRESPECT WORE ME AWAY”

Spears reacted to Federline's remarks that "kids might wake up and find Britney with a knife in her hand," emphasizing the hurtful nature of such allegations. She stated that her sons, too, see the disrespect their father shows her:

"Relationships with teenage boys are complicated. This has demoralized me... They need to take responsibility for themselves."

Spears said she will take the initiative to meet with her children from now on:

"I'm proud of it too. I'll let them know when I'm available from now on."

Spears, who stated that the allegations in Federline's book had harmed her, said, "Those lies are going to the bank, but the only person who's really being harmed here is me."

“DON’T CAREFUL ABOUT MY MENTAL HEALTH NEWS”

The famous singer defended herself by saying, "I will always love them. If you really know me, you won't care about the tabloid news about my mental health and my drinking."

“I am a very intelligent woman who has been trying to live a sacred and private life for the last 5 years… I have had enough and any real woman would do the same.”

Spears divorced her former dancer Kevin Federline in 2007 after two years of marriage. Federline was awarded custody of the children, and Spears paid $5 million in child support for 17 years. These payments ended when the children reached adulthood. Sean and Jayden currently live with their father in Hawaii.

Federline's controversial memoir will be released on October 21.
