It is good for allergies, asthma, bronchitis: This is how they find healing

Mehmet Uçar and Mehmet Culha, who provided the necessary materials for the bee air center, which is used to support the treatment processes of allergy sufferers, respiratory patients, and those with weakened immune systems, are experiencing the joy of opening the center, for which they have completed all preparations.

While apitherapy, which involves breathing beehive air, stands out as a natural support in the treatment of many diseases such as asthma, bronchitis and allergies, Uçar and Culha, who established the bee air center inside their workplace in the Organized Industrial Zone, are providing free services at their newly opened center.

Uçar and Culha, who offer alternative medicine services to allergy and respiratory patients and those with weakened immune systems who come to the center, aim to increase the number of centers where they provide a relaxing effect through breathing the air from the beehive and the sound of its wings.

The center, which offers a relaxing effect by breathing air from the beehive and the sound of bees' wings in a therapy room and bee bed, has been attracting considerable interest from residents. It's also been reported that the apiair treatment has positive results for allergies, asthma, bronchitis, depression, migraines, and weakened immune systems. Uçar and Culha, who have been receiving various trainings for years on apitherapy, a treatment involving products such as honey, pollen, propolis, royal jelly, and venom, are also periodically transporting the thousands of beehives they own to different locations around the city.

Uçar and Culha, who are also working with the Gaziantep Honey Producers Association, aim to popularize the bee air treatment method. Mehmet Ali Kutlu, a retired academic and specialist in honeybee diseases, stated that apitherapy, which involves inhaling beehive air, stands out as a natural support in the treatment of many diseases such as asthma, bronchitis, and allergies. Kutlu explained that apitherapy is the general name for treatments using bee products. He noted that despite the high potential for beekeeping in Türkiye, especially in the Southeastern and Eastern Anatolia regions, as well as other regions, the use of bee products other than honey is not yet widespread. He noted that the benefits of apitherapy for human health are scientifically accepted worldwide and that this treatment method is being used in many countries, especially Germany. He said, "Bee product treatment has been widely used worldwide for 25 years. However, in recent years, it has gradually become known in Türkiye. Unfortunately, there is no fully-fledged treatment in Türkiye. This is because the installation conditions are somewhat difficult, and therefore, research in this area is still relatively new."

Kutlu stated that apitherapy treatment centers have been operating in Germany for years for some respiratory illnesses, with positive results. He also noted that there are outpatient clinics in China, Japan, Russia, and the United States where apitherapy is applied. Beekeeper Mehmet Uçar, noting that they are applying apitherapy to natural respiratory illnesses, said, "We've been conducting these activities for two years. We also use the healing method brought about by bee air in our own family. This treatment method is very beneficial for allergic reactions and asthma patients. Patients with COPD, asthma, and respiratory disorders benefit from it. Those who lie on beehives experience stress relief."

Mehmet Culha, who stated that they were delighted to establish the bee air center in Gaziantep after seeing it at a bee farm in the Karaburun district of Izmir two years ago, stated that bee air is a new source of healing for those suffering from allergies, respiratory problems, and immune system problems. Heart patient Yusuf Aslancan, who came to the center for treatment, explained that he came to the center to strengthen his immune system and was pleased with the treatment.
