How Many Taylor Sheridan Shows Will We Actually See This Fall?
Taylor Sheridan is one of the busiest TV creators in the business. The Yellowstone maestro is rivaled only by Ryan Murphy in the sheer number of shows that air under his name in the same year. And if you’re not familiar with his game, then Paramount’s slate for the second half of the year will surely show you how well Sheridan can juggle all of his various projects. This fall, the question isn’t whether viewers will see another Sheridan series return. The question is: How many?
Paramount has yet to put a firm release date on most of these series—our guess is that the holdup has a lot to do with the upcoming Skydance Media merger—but the network previously teased that four (!) of Sheridan’s shows are set to air this fall, including Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown, Landman, and the first Yellowstone sequel spin-off. That would be the most shows airing concurrently from one creator since Murphy debuted six series last October. But if I know Sheridan, he’s always cooking up something new.
Here’s everything we know about Taylor Sheridan’s upcoming fall TV slate so far.

’Tulsa King’ returns in September.
Sylvester Stallone returns for a third season of Tulsa King on September 21. This season technically counts as two projects, in my book, because season 3 is performing double duty as the next adventure for former mob boss Dwight “the General” Manfredi (Stallone) and the setup for Samuel L. Jackson’s future spin-off NOLA King. Before Jackson’s new character heads to New Orleans, he’ll reportedly appear in a few episodes of season 3. Then he’s off to become his own king. Terrence Winter (The Wire) penned much of Tulsa King after Sheridan’s debut episode, but Mayor of Kingstown showrunner Dave Erickson will take over for season 3. Plus, Stallone’s pitching in to cowrite a few episodes himself.

Jeremy Renner returns to Mayor of Kingstown for the first time since his accident.
Speaking of Kingstown, a fourth season of the Michigan prison drama reportedly airs this October. Sheridan hasn’t personally written or directed anything for the series since season 2, but season 4 marks the first time that Jeremy Renner will return to star since his snowplow accident in early 2023.

Billy Bob Thornton was nominated for a Golden Globe for Landman season 1.
The latest of Sheridan’s forays, Landman, starring Billy Bob Thornton, is currently expected to return this December. Season 2 of the Texas oil drama will kick off with fixer Tommy Norris (Thornton) now making the big decisions following M-Tex owner Monty Miller’s (Jon Hamm) death in the season finale. For now, Sheridan still pens this series himself.

Cole Hauser and Kelly Reilly will star in the first Yellowstone spin-off set after the events of season 5.
A recent Paramount earnings call confirmed the release windows for all three of Sheridan’s shows above, though Dutton Ranch is seemingly not in the network’s plans for 2025. The first Yellowstone sequel spin-off—starring Cole Hauser (Rip Wheeler) and Kelly Reilly (Beth Dutton)—is currently slated for release sometime in 2026. I’d bet big money that the Paramount–Skydance Media merger led to the delay, but it’s a good sign that the future of Yellowstone is still a priority in the network’s future. Sheridan is also working on The Madison, Y: Marshals with Luke Grimes, and a potential 1944 spin-off in the new year.
