Beyoncé's producer Sidney Brown has died

Grammy-winning DJ and music producer Sidney Brown was found dead in his New York apartment. The cause of death for the 49-year-old has not yet been released, and police have launched an investigation.

Brown, who worked with global stars such as Beyoncé, Drake, Ludacris, and Lil' Wayne, was found dead after colleagues became concerned when he didn't show up for work. His family stated that Brown had lived a healthy life and expressed their shock at the unexpected death.

CONDOLENCE MESSAGES FLOWED IN

Brown won a Grammy for Ludacris's 2006 album "Release Therapy" and also produced Drake's "Shut It Down" and Beyoncé's "Mine."

The Harlem venue where he worked, Barawine, expressed its sadness in a statement on social media: "Brown was a part of our team. He brought his energy and talent to us for over 10 years."

Many figures from the music world also shared their sorrow by posting condolences for Brown.
