Works worth 3.25 million on the sanitation network in Roriz

The works to expand and upgrade the sanitation network in Roriz, Santo Tirso, representing an investment of 3.25 million euros, started this week and should be completed in 2027, the municipality revealed this Thursday.
The project, undertaken by the company Águas do Norte, has an execution period of more than one year and aims to "improve the coverage and efficiency of the sanitation system," the statement details.
According to the Porto district authority, the project covers a “total length of more than 22.5 kilometers and includes the construction of 895 branch lines, allowing the coverage rate to increase from 50% to 99% by the end of the project” .
The funding for the project is secured by the European Regional Development Fund, within the framework of the Urban Water Cycle, with the municipality contributing €487,500, the press release continues.
These works, the municipality emphasizes, "are part of a comprehensive investment package planned for the expansion of the water and sanitation network in the municipality, with a total value of 43 million euros."
