In an Instagram post, the prince expressed his gratitude: "Thank you for such a warm welcome in Bethlehem!" William was accompanied by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The two met with young activists from the British Council's "Next Generation" program.

The Emílio Goeldi Museum holds special significance for the prince. In 1991, the museum was visited by then-Prince Charles (now King Charles III) and Princess Diana. At the time, the royal couple toured Brazil, including Belém.

The museum received a donation of six automobiles from the British Crown to aid in scientific production. The site houses the country's first Zoobotanical Park, which is over 130 years old.

"The Emílio Goeldi Museum is the oldest in the Amazon and has been a center of science and culture since 1866 – it was incredible to be here to hear the insights of Next Generation Brazil, including the hopes and priorities of the people who are shaping the future of the country," he stated.
