Report Sunday 1 June, from the bankers to the bomb on Inter: all the previews of the new episode

Report, Siegfried Ranucci
All set for a new episode of Report , the investigative program broadcast on Rai 3 on Sunday evenings from 8:30 pm and hosted by Sigfrido Ranucci. Lots of topics this week too: let's see some previews of Sunday 1 June .
The first investigation is entitled "To arms, we are bankers!" by Giorgio Mottola with the collaboration of Greta Orsi. Although the economy is not doing very well, Italian banks have managed to record billion-dollar revenues thanks to the extra profits favored by the increase in interest rates . The Meloni government tried to introduce a tax on these billion-dollar earnings, but had to retreat. And so the credit institutions of our country found themselves with coffers full of money. Thanks to this favorable situation, the so-called banking risk began: Unicredit launched a takeover of the Banca Popolare di Milano and shortly after Monte dei Paschi di Siena began the assault on the former good living room of Italian finance, Mediobanca. However, there is very little financial in this game. Fratelli d'Italia and Lega have decided to play a leading role and are aiming for the birth of a third banking hub with sovereignist traction. The objective is the safe of Italians' private savings: Assicurazioni Generali. To achieve this goal, an unprecedented alliance was born with powerful exponents of financial capitalism in our country.
"La resa dei conti" instead, by Daniele Autieri with the collaboration of Alessandra Teichner and Andrea Tornago, investigates the accounts of Inter : was the Italian club that has won the most in recent years really on the verge of bankruptcy? After the investigation last February that had reconstructed the financial troubles of the club, many criticized Report accusing the program of having placed the sins of its owners, namely the Suning Group that until May 2024 controlled the club, on Inter. Three months later, here is the new investigation that delves into the financial side of the club, before and after the entry of the American fund Oaktree, and reconstructs in detail what the real conditions of the accounts of the Nerazzurri club were in the most difficult years of Zhang's ownership, between 2021 and 2023. Thanks to unpublished documents and an excellent testimony, the investigation reconstructs all the behind-the-scenes of the financial operations that avoided Inter's bankruptcy. A truth that once again testifies to the fragility of sports clubs and the ineffectiveness of institutions in building and enforcing a shared system of rules, right now that the government is working on a future reform of football.
"Black Lagoon", by Giulia Innocenzi, with the collaboration of Greta Orsi, deals with trout. Italy is a leading country in production, but what are the conditions of the fish in the tanks and how are they slaughtered? Thanks to exclusive images, Report will show the reality of the farms considered to be of high quality. And a year after the fish kill that hit the Orbetello lagoon, famous for its precious biodiversity, but also for its sea bass and gilt-head bream, what has been done to prevent it from happening again? Finally, for Lab Report, here is Anatomy of a Crime, by Nancy Porsia, which reconstructs the systematic attack on hospitals in Gaza, documenting bombings, forced evacuations and doctors killed or arrested. Through direct testimonies and unfiltered images, the collapse of the health system and the drama of trapped civilians emerge. A documented chronicle of the potential violation of international humanitarian law and the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
