Akn Group (formerly Akoni Group) acquires Götti Switzerland and Eyetech lenses

Akn Group (formerly Akoni Group) acquires Götti Switzerland and Eyetech lenses

With the acquisition of Götti, Akn Group, a member of Alsara Investment Group, consolidates its steady growth since its foundation in 2019 with its first official acquisition. With design, craftsmanship, innovation and quality, Götti has been one of the most respected independent eyewear brands in the world for over 25 years. Included in the acquisition is the company Eyetech, which produces high-quality lenses.

In addition to representing a significant portfolio expansion, the acquisition is - as stated in an official note - a transformative alignment of shared culture, values and expertise, bringing together cutting-edge technologies, design vision and a mutual commitment to excellence. Strategically, the acquisition marks a significant milestone in Akn Group's growth journey, further strengthening the company as an innovation engine in the global luxury and high-end eyewear industry. Akn Group Group views this acquisition as a transformative event: by merging two teams of complementary talents, the collective synergy will push the boundaries of design, craftsmanship, innovation, performance and technology.

Tuscan and Götti

“Swiss precision. Performance. These are the pillars that define us,” says Rosario Toscano, CEO and founder of Akn Group ( above, left, with Sven Götti ). “After five years of steady growth, the time has come to take the next step: expanding our portfolio, strengthening our distribution channels and strengthening our team. By merging the people, resources and expertise of both companies, we aim to create a high-performance eyewear giant, focused on quality at all levels. The acquisition of Götti embodies our vision for the future.”

“With this acquisition, I am confident that we have found partners who share a common and aligned vision for the future of eyewear. I am very excited to continue supporting the company in its next phase of development,” adds Götti founder Sven Götti. “Sven will join the board of the Akn Group,” explains Toscano, “and will continue to work at Götti, especially on the creative front, where together we are committed to preserving the integrity and identity of the Akoni and Götti brands. True progress is not about changing who we are, but about expanding what we can become.”
