Master K, the best kebab in Marseille?

On the counter of a small kebab shop in a somewhat remote corner of Marseille's 6th arrondissement, jars of cucumber and red cabbage are quietly fermenting before being transformed into pickles. Leaning against one of them is a smiling Mario Bros. figurine. This small establishment, barely 25 square meters in size - including the kitchen - was unanimously voted the city's best kebab in January 2025 by the Mondial Marseille food guide .
And yet, competition is fierce in Marseille. The process therefore had to be very serious: Internet users first recommended some 130 addresses, which the journalists scoured before selecting the thirteen best to be included in their guide. The wood-fired kebab at Frisch Kebap (2nd arrondissement) came in second, and Dürüm Kebab (10th) and Palandöken (1st) tied for third place.
