Urban singer Marvel Boy dies

Ricardo José Cruz Matos, known artistically as Marvel Boy and author of the song " Nou, Nou, Nou ", died at the age of 33 due to apparent respiratory arrest .

The artist, who was born on April 24, 1992 in Río Piedras and resided in Canóvanas , collaborated with other exponents of the urban genre.

His career took off in 2018 , when a stint in Houston, Texas, led him to discover his passion for freestyle , and he released tracks like "Seguroski" and "Pa que se lo gozen" on the Freestyle Mania platform.

Back in Puerto Rico, Marvel teamed up with renowned producers Los Terrícolas (Pichy and Skaary), with whom he released " Nou, Nou, Nou ."

• Shortly after, she signed with the GLAD Empire record label and released the hit " A Todas Horas " with artist Miky Woodz, a song that was certified Gold by the RIAA.

In November 2019 , Marvel Boy was arrested near the Carolina Courthouse for an alleged traffic violation . After his arrest, law enforcement also seized a gun and two magazines at the scene, for which he was jailed, but managed to get out after posting bail.

Five years later, the exponent was arrested in April 2024 , as part of the Plan 100 x 35 initiatives, after two "crack" capsules and $945.65 in cash were seized from him at the Jardines de Campo Rico residential complex in Río Piedras. He was sent to prison after failing to pay $10,000 bail.

Two months ago, police arrested the singer again for allegedly stealing from a popular hardware store in Carolina. In addition to facing unlawful appropriation charges, he was also charged with obstruction of justice and reckless and negligent driving of an unlicensed motorcycle.
