Snoop Dogg is a proud father and grandfather - he reveals in a recent interview how much he enjoys these roles.
Rapper Snoop Dogg (53) has revealed what he's like as a father and grandfather. "I can tell people what to do," the rapper joked in a recent interview with "Page Six" when asked about his qualities as a family leader, but then clarified: "No, I'm actually a nice guy."
"When you're a father and a grandfather, people rely on you," Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., the musician's real name, also explains in the interview. He loves "that responsibility that comes with having people relying on you."
His grandchildren are Snoop Dogg's "everything"Snoop Dogg, affectionately called "Papa Snoop" by his grandchildren, also made it clear in an interview with "People" magazine two years ago how much he embraces his role as a grandfather. "My grandchildren are my everything because each of them has a piece of my heart and each one is different," he enthused. He said his own grandfather was his "best friend"—making it all the more wonderful for him to be able to take on this role for his grandchildren.
Once discovered by Dr. Dre (60), Snoop Dogg has been a successful musician and actor for decades. He has been married to his childhood sweetheart Shante Broadus (53) since 1997, with whom he has three children together – albeit with one interruption. Two years after their wedding, Snoop Dogg had an illegitimate child with his lover Laurie Holmond. The couple finally separated in 2004 but reunited four years later.
