How do you talk to children about death?

Ms. Guth, you often talk to children about death. Is there a question they ask most often? Theresa Guth: That's very individual and depends on the child's previous experiences with loss. At a certain age, children often want to know how living beings die and what happens to the body after death. Not so much why they die. It's more of a biological, factual interest. Especially towards the end of kindergarten, it can be observed that children are often fascinated by dead animals and would love to dissect them.
