The Apprentice viewers rage as candidate 'coasts' into final five after controversial episode

The Apprentice viewers rage as candidate 'coasts' into final five after controversial episode

The Apprentice viewers were left fuming tonight after one particular candidate made it through to the final five after the team were challenging with designing an eco-conscious wardrobe. Jordan Dargan was named project manager and started off with a more traditional approach to designing menswear, but teammate Mia Collins quickly convinced him that they would stand out more if they put a spin on the project by making skirts or dresses that men can wear.

She claimed this would show that men can dress however they want in the 21st century and said the diverse clothing choices would empower their clients. Although Jordan was initially sceptical, he soon came around to her idea.

Liam Snellin and Anisa Khan were tasked with creating an ad and designing a logo for the clothing line. Neither of them agreed with the concept behind the menswear, but Liam seemed particularly upset by it, leaving Anisa to come up with a script for the ad.

She instructed him to say: "In today's society, as a man I don't feel I can express myself." He then demonstrated how the clothing items they designed made him feel emboldened to be himself.

After that, the team selected people to model their clothing on a catwalk, where one performer did a flip for dramatic effect while wearing one of the crop tops.

Sadly, Lord Sugar wasn't impressed by the team's concept and it was Mia and Liam who were fired by Lord Sugar. He blamed Mia for coming up with an idea that failed to land as many sales as the other team's did. Before leaving she apologised to her team for ruining their chances with her clothing line concept, saying that she had believed it would capture the hearts of buyers.

Lord Sugar also fired Liam for the lack of effort he put into the project after not being selected as project manager. He later ranted: "We would have won if I was the project manager."

While viewers were divided over whether Lord Sugar made the right decision, many were outrage by the fact that Jordan had made it through to the final five. "In all seriousness how has Jordan not been sacked?? #The Apprentice," one fan wrote with a GIF that said: "He can't keep getting away with this!"

Another said: "Jordan through to the final five instead of Mia after being disruptive all season and an awful project manager..#TheApprentice."

A third wrote: "Jordan making it to the final 5 is CRAZYYYYYYYYYY #The Apprentice." While a fourth said: "Dean and Jordan seemed to have coasted through to the end game...must have some good business propositions #theapprentice."
