Paige Bueckers Rocked an Anti-Trend Color for Her Hometown Debut – See Photos

Since joining the league in April as the highly anticipated number one draft pick, Paige Bueckers has been making fashion statements to mark her new era. During her first game of the WNBA season, she swapped her iconic game-day hairstyle, the two braided ponytail, for a sleek bun.

The former UConn player turned Dallas Wings star continues to explore her personal style as the season continues. Now, she’s giving us a masterclass in how to style an unconventional color. In partnership with Sherwin-Williams, Bueckers wore one of their least popular colors, Radiant Lilac, to “disrupt traditional trend forecasting,” per the brand’s press release.

To mark her first hometown game of her pro career in Minnesota, the national champ debuted a custom track suit designed in collaboration with style icon Dapper Dan and a sleek ponytail in her tunnel walk. The lilac tracksuit, which features Dapper Dan’s signature repeating monogram on the front, is a more colorful take on the gray tracksuits and matching navy sweats she wore in college.

Fans know Bueckers already has a love for purple hues. From her off-the-court looks she posts on Instagram, Bueckers is often seen in pastels, especially purples. For last year’s ESPYs, she wore a Kid Super spring-summer 2024 lilac suit. The Paige Bueckers G.T. Hustle 3, the sneaker she designed with Nike and gifted her college teammates, also featured a purple swoosh.
