It’s the first Monday of May and the biggest night in fashion. The Met Gala 2025 red carpet has been rolled out, and the celebrities are starting to arrive one by one.

Every year, designers and their hand-picked fashion stars from all around the world gather to fundraise for The Met, formally The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the occasion calls for them to don their finest outfits. This year’s exhibition theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” honors Black dandyism and inspires tonight’s dress code, “Tailored for You.” Per Vogue, that entails embracing sharp menswear and taking inspiration from The Met’s exploration of Black dandyism, a culture that spans many eras and elements of dressing.

While the Met Gala guestlist is quite exclusive and we won’t know exactly who will be there until they walk the red carpet, we do already know that there will be some major stars in attendance as hosts of the big night. Alongside Anna Wintour, Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Pharrell Williams will be co-chairs. LeBron James will also be an honorary co-chair. There’s also a star-studded list of host committee members Simone Biles, Dapper Dan, Doechii, Ayo Edebiri, Edward Enninful, Janelle Monáe, Angel Reese, Sha'Carri Richardson, Olivier Rousteing, Tyla, and Usher are just a few. Additionally, we can also expect the fashion houses in attendance to bring out some of their rosters of celebrity brand ambassadors as guests.
