Inside Disney+'s Dying For Sex cast including The Greatest Showman and It Ends With Us stars

Dying For Sex, the true story of a woman with Stage IV cancer who decides to spend her remaining days pursuing her sexual desires, has landed on Disney+.

The series, based on the 2020 podcast of the same name, features an all-star cast and a plot that's both heartbreaking and inspiring.

It follows the journey of Molly (played by Michelle Williams), who after being diagnosed with Stage IV cancer, resolves to have the best sex of her life.

The eight-part comedy-drama dropped on Disney+ on Friday, April 4, so here's a rundown of the cast.

Molly had previously battled breast cancer, but when she experiences hip pain, it's discovered that the cancer has spread to her bones, making her terminally ill.

This diagnosis prompts her to leave her husband of 15 years and embark on a journey to explore her sexuality.

Michelle Williams, an award-winning actress, has starred in numerous memorable films throughout her career, including Brokeback Mountain, The Greatest Showman, Blue Velvet, Shutter Island and My Week With Marilyn, which earned her a Golden Globe Award.

Most recently, she appeared in the coming-of-age period drama The Fabelmans, which also bagged a Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture drama in 2023.

After abandoning her husband, Molly seeks solace in her closest friend Nikki to cope with the daily struggles of her impending mortality.

Despite Nikki's eagerness to support Molly in any way possible, it becomes apparent that she is finding it tough.

Actress Jenny Slate has appeared in The Electric State, Married, and Parks and Recreation, but her most notable role to date is as Allysa in Blake Lively's contentious film It Ends With Us.

Rob Delaney is renowned for co-creating and starring as Rob Norris in the sitcom Catastrophe, as well as portraying Christopher in Bad Monkey and Peter Wisdom in Deadpool 2 and Deadpool and Wolverine.

Delaney is set to portray "Neighbour Guy", described simply as "Molly's strangely magnetic neighbour".

Steve is Molly's husband, whom she leaves behind after receiving her terminal cancer diagnosis.

Throughout her illness, he has been supportive, but Steve fails to meet her needs during her sexual awakening; nonetheless, he continues to care for his wife from afar.

Actor Jay Duplass is known for his roles in Jeff, Who Lives At Home, The Puffy Chair, Cyprus, and Togetherness.

Esco Jouley is a relatively new actress, with credits in High Maintenance, Blind Spotting, Station Of The Union, and Netflix's Inventing Anna.In Dying For Sex, Jouley plays the role of palliative care social worker Sonya, who provides emotional support and advice to Molly as she explores her sexuality.
