EastEnders' Lacey Turner teases 'unfinished business' as Stacey and Max reunite next week

It's a huge week for the Slaters in EastEnders next week, as the soap celebrates 25 years since the iconic family burst onto our screens.
The family have been at the heart of the show in the last few months, from Kat overtaking the Vic to her epic reunion with her daughter Zoe Slater, who made her shock return after 20 years.
Next week, things are set to get even more dramatic as Max Branning makes his highly anticipated return to Walford. Until now, none of the Slaters are aware of Max and Zoe's relationship, but that's all set to change next week...

She never expected to see him back in Walford, and she knows full well that whenever he’s around, there’s trouble!” Lacey teased on his return.
Max's return isn't the only thing on Stacey's mind however. This week, Stacey is set to receive an offer from Sean to move to Brazil. With Lily deciding to stay in Walford, will Stacey go without her?
The storyline comes months after it was announced Lacey Turner would be taking an indefinite break from the soap after 21 years on Albert Square.
Max's return definitely throws a spanner in the works, and whether she decides to leave or not, of course EastEnders couldn't let her go without being reunited with Max Branning.
Stacey and Max's affair will go down as one of the most memorable in history, and almost two days after the explosive Christmas revelation, fans are still talking about it.
The pair have rekindled a few times since - but is there unfinished business between the two? Next week, we see Max following Stacey back to number 31, but what happens between the pair?
It's being kept under wraps for now, but Lacey teased: “Max has always had this hold over Stacey that she has no control over. I don’t know what it is about those two, but they’re always drawn together.”
Of course, Stacey is left in shock when she finds out about Zoe and Max's relationship, as Lacey reveals Stacey feels "betrayed" by her cousin.
"It’s such a shock. She had no idea they knew each other, let alone that they were a couple, so I think she’s in such disbelief. She feels betrayed by Zoe, but she’s reminded that this is typical Max behaviour as it’s what he always does!” Lacey said.
On what it's been like to work with Jake again, Lacey said the two just picked up where they left off.
"It’s rare to have a story that has that much history, and that is still being played out today, but that’s the beauty of shows like EastEnders. It’s lovely that we can pick and choose those little moments.”
It's set to be a great watch for viewers next week, as Lacey teases "typical old-school EastEnders, full of Slater drama.”
EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
