Coronation Street character's 'secret child' heading to street in bombshell twist

New spoilers have revealed the moment one character's secret son makes his arrival on Coronation Street.
While the teen has already been onscreen he has yet to head to the famous Cobbles, and next week that changes. Ahead of confirmation over whether the teen is actually the secret son of Kit Green, amid reports suggesting he is, there's a bombshell discovery in upcoming scenes.
Not only is the truth about Kit's past finally exposed as well as his link to Mick and Lou Michaelis, but we also find out another potential secret. A flashback episode will take fans back to the year 2007, when Kit, Mick and Lou were teenagers.
They all grew up together, and the episode details what went on in their pasts, and how it shaped the characters into the people they are today. With revelations aplenty, there's a major hint incoming about Mick and Lou's son Brody's true paternity.
We've already met Brody in the STC where he's been terrorising Dylan Wilson, while in a recent episode it was confirmed he was Mick and Lou's son. But after reports that Brody was in fact the son of detective Kit, it seems it could be the case as the character is set to find out he might have a child he did not know about

Next week, Kit's mother Bernie Winter shows up his flat aware something is bothering him and she's keen to get to the bottom of it. The flashback episode then airs, with a young Kit on the wrong side of the law.
The episode pans between the trio's teen years, we find out secrets that have bound them together and led them to where they are today. It's clear in present day that Mick and Kit are linked, as Kit continues to cover for him with Bernie wanting to know why.
Soon Brody arrives on the Cobbles having been released from the STC, and his mum and dad take him out for a meal to celebrate. So is Kit's confession to Bernie linked to Brody, and did something happen in the past?
It certainly seems so, as Kit actor Jacob Roberts has revealed there's a moment where the truth about Brody could be exposed. He explained to The Mirror: "If he is his, it’s going to be a shock to him, although I don’t think he thinks that anything will change.
"He thinks Mick’s his dad and I’ve got nothing to do with this kid. I don’t think he can necessarily change what’s gonna happen with Brody, I think it would come as a shock to him and he’d be upset or angry that Lou never told him he had a child, because that comes down to her as well.

"He’s not ready for a kid, he’s not ready for a baby, so how can he be ready for a 16 year old lad who’s already learnt off his dad Mick?" Speaking about the special episode ahead, Jacob went on: "It shows he wasn’t so innocent back in the day, I don’t know if that leaves you.
"It’s a funny one because it’s obviously a different life that he led back then and he’s changed it around and obviously Mick hasn’t, so it was good to find out what happened." Jacob says the whole experience was "strange" seeing a younger actor take on the role of Kit as a teenager, and getting to witness some key events not yet explained to viewers.
He reveals: "It was kind of strange looking at a younger version of yourself. It was nice to see, I think I got told by Kate [Brooks] beforehand of what actually went on with Mick and Kit so I knew a bit about the story. Mick has only just come into it really, as soon as you start working with someone, you can add onto the story and broaden it a bit and make it more believable to yourself."
