Channel 4's Married At First Sight new line-up revealed for history-making series

Dig out your hats. It’s time for some TV weddings – nine, to be exact. Married at First Sight is returning to Channel 4 this month and has unveiled the 18 people who are set to be shown tying the knot to someone they have never met. The brides and grooms come from right across the country, from Aberdeen-based recruitment consultant Sarah to Essex investment banker Steven.
The new series has gone international, with groom Davide, 33, hailing from Portugal and bride Julia-Ruth, who is a professional dancer, coming all the way from New Zealand in the pursuit of love.
The cast will be guided by the show’s experts Paul C Brunson, Charlene Douglas and Mel Schilling. One groom had planned a 2025 wedding before an abrupt split, leading to him marrying a stranger on the show instead.
He is not the only one to have been ready to walk down the aisle before. Rebecca, 32, talks of a broken engagement in her previous relationship. And NHS worker Leigh admits she was left broken-hearted after being engaged in the past. The road ahead is probably going to be far from smooth.
Unlikely to take any antics from her hubby, aesthetics practitioner Maeve, 29, describes herself as “strong-willed and not willing to settle”. Who’s ready for a MAFS dinner party?
