Dilşah Kurt, who competed in the Volunteers team, told her life story in a previous interview on Survivor.

Dilşah Kurt described her own life with these words:

The hardest part of this job is not being able to explain it. I haven't told anyone until now. I was 11-12 years old, I became a mother, a father and a sister. Because we grew up on the streets. We had mothers and fathers but they didn't look after us. We grew up in a place without a roof. The shack feels like home to me now. The place I slept in wasn't the ground. There was no roof, no electricity, no water. We grew up on our own. For example, I never had any toys.

''I ATE FROM THE GARBAGE''

I know that I eat from the garbage, I came from such a life. The rice, bulgur, and provisions I eat here are actually too much for me. I lived with my 3 siblings when we sorted the food from the garbage. They took us from that life and sent us to a dormitory. Then I was separated from my siblings. My brothers were placed in another dormitory. It was the first time I was separated from them. I was constantly crying, saying, "My siblings, my siblings." They let us see each other, but they let us see each other once a month, and they were growing up without me.

We don't have the love of our parents, we've never seen it. I've never been sad, all I'm saying is why are my siblings going through this? I still don't have a father. Is he dead or alive? I've come to where I am by standing on my own two feet.
