Burak Özçivit, the lead actor in the 2019 series Establishment Osman, which has been widely watched for six seasons, reportedly had a disagreement with production company Bozdağ Film regarding his salary for the new season. According to a report by Birsen Altuntaş, Özçivit requested 4 million Turkish Lira per episode for the upcoming season.

After negotiations with the production company stalled, the two sides unfollowed each other on social media. This development fueled rumors behind the scenes that Özçivit had left the series. Allegedly, Kuruluş Osman will continue its new season without its lead actor.

With Burak Özçivit's potential departure, the series' script is reportedly undergoing changes. It's been reported that the new season will focus on Osman Bey's old age and that the story will primarily revolve around his son, Prince Orhan.
