Counterfeit money operation in Istanbul: 8 suspects arrested!

In the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the crime of "counterfeiting money", a detention order was issued for 23 suspects.

The security forces took action and caught all the suspects in the operation they carried out. During the searches conducted at the suspects’ homes and workplaces, foreign currency and Turkish lira money and unlicensed weapons were seized.

The 23 suspects, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were sent to the Istanbul Courthouse in Çağlayan.

While 8 of the suspects were arrested, 15 suspects were released, 3 of whom were on judicial control orders.
