A sad day for the famous actor... Atakan Özkaya's father was sent off on his final journey

Young actor Atakan Özkaya, who garnered acclaim for his portrayal of "Kaya" on Kanal D's popular series "Distant City," announced the passing of his father, Mustafa Özkaya, yesterday via social media. Özkaya reportedly died in the hospital where he was taken following a heart condition.
A funeral service was held for Özkaya today at the Maltepe Central Mosque. Atakan Özkaya and his family accepted condolences in the mosque courtyard, while his co-stars Ferit Kaya and Alper Çankaya, actor Doğukan Güngör, and relatives and loved ones attended the funeral. Following the funeral prayer, Mustafa Özkaya was laid to rest at Başıbüyük Cemetery.
His co-star Ferit Kaya, who attended the funeral, said, "We loved our brother Mustafa very much. Atakan is already like a brother to us. It was a sudden loss, and we are all very saddened. I offer my condolences first to Atakan and his family, and then to all of us. He had heart disease, but we didn't know it was a fatal condition."
'THE JOY OF THE HOUSE IS GONE'Atakan Özkaya's aunt, Vildan Özkaya, who could not hold back her tears at the funeral, said, "I couldn't believe it when I heard the news on the phone. I had to confirm it with a few people. Because he was always making jokes, I didn't want to believe it. He was someone we loved very much, and the joy of the house is gone."
