The bus used by the bands Djavú and Bonde do Forró caught fire and was completely consumed by flames this Saturday, the 26th, in Minas Gerais. The groups shared footage of the incident on their social media, expressing their regret. There is still no information on the cause of the fire.
"Strangely, our bus caught fire today. A vehicle we cared for and earned with great sacrifice. We're trying to determine the cause of the fire," posted the Djavú band's profile this afternoon.
“We are deeply saddened, but the show will go ahead,” they added in another post.
Overnight, the group re-shared an older video on their profile, from February, when the band Djavú returned to the music scene after a 15-year hiatus. In the video, members of the group appear kneeling in front of the same bus, giving thanks for the new beginning.
On Friday the groups performed in Olhos D'Água, in Minas Gerais, and were on their way to Ubaí, also in the state.
Terra is trying to contact the group for more information about what happened, and this space will be updated if they get back to us.
