Cariúcha testifies against Ana Hickmann's ex-husband

Cariúcha testifies against Ana Hickmann's ex-husband

Presenter Cariúcha, known for her work on the SBT program Fofocalizando, was called to give a statement this Monday (June 23), at the 7th Police District of São Paulo. The action is part of an investigation related to alleged crimes against honor, motivated by statements she made live about businessman Alexandre Correa, Ana Hickmann's ex-husband.

The complaint against the presenter originated from comments made during the edition of the program aired in February of this year. At the time, Cariúcha used offensive expressions when referring to Correa, calling him a "scoundrel", "coward" and "woman abuser", in addition to stating that he "doesn't work" and "lives off women's money". In another statement, she stated: "You stole, you ruined a woman's life, you scoundrel, and now you don't even love your son."

As a result of these statements, Alexandre Correa initially filed a civil lawsuit for moral damages. The lawsuit requested payment of 40 minimum wages by Cariúcha and the broadcaster. However, the businessman ended up dropping the lawsuit, which was dismissed due to abandonment of the case for more than 30 days. Despite this, the criminal investigation continues normally.

The subpoena to testify was sent directly to SBT, after two previous failed attempts. According to documents obtained by columnists, this would be the last opportunity for the artist to present her version of the facts. If she did not appear, the investigation would continue without her statement.

On social media, Cariúcha shared images of the moment she arrived at the police station, accompanied by her lawyer, Diego Figueiredo. In a relaxed tone, she posted: "We started Monday (23/6), me and my lawyer. We're all going to stop at the police station. The best lawyer, always solving my police reports."

The investigations remain under the responsibility of the São Paulo Civil Police, and, to date, there have been no new statements from Alexandre Correa or SBT.
