Bye-bye, bad smells! A popular herb helps eliminate bad odors in the refrigerator.

A strange-smelling refrigerator is almost a common occurrence in Brazilian homes. All it takes is a poorly sealed container or a forgotten leftover at the back of a shelf for the odor to set in. But you don't always need to resort to processed foods—the solution may lie in a simple yet powerful herb: mint .
Personal organizer Glaucia Zanicotti relies on the plant as an ally for cleaning, perfuming, and even renewing the energy of spaces. "Mint has a very pleasant scent and, besides being refreshing, helps eliminate strong odors, such as fried food and burnt food."

It's simple and accessible to use. Glaucia teaches how to make a tea using the leaves of a bunch of mint and a liter of water. The preparation doesn't degrease, but it works directly on odors.
"Just boil it, let it cool, strain it, and use it to clean the refrigerator inside and out. You can also use it on the stove, sink, and countertops," explains the professional.
If the idea is to keep the freshness for longer, a small pot with mint planted in it also helps.
Another effective alternative is to prepare a solution with mint leaves, 100 ml of water, and 100 ml of vinegar. "Put it in a spray bottle, let it sit for 24 hours, and then use it to spray the refrigerator or anywhere in the kitchen," says Glaucia.

The use doesn't stop there. The same recipe can be applied to bathrooms and other rooms, with an added touch: energy cleansing . Glaucia teaches that by mixing mint tea with coarse salt , you can perform a more symbolic cleanse. "Wipe the cloth with this mixture from the back of the house to the exit door. It helps remove heavy energy."
For those who want to go further, the personal organizer also recommends a personal ritual: "After your shower, pour the tea from your neck down. It's great for soothing your body and mind."
