Al Pacino Regrets Not Marrying Diane Keaton

The death of actress Diane Keaton, last Saturday, October 11, at the age of 79, moved fans and colleagues who made a point of paying tribute on social media.

The artist left her mark on the seventh art with her iconic roles in 'The Godfather' and 'Annie Hall', for which she received an Oscar for Best Actress in 1977.

And it was precisely on the film 'The Godfather' that she met Al Pacino, who would later become her boyfriend. The two crossed paths in 1972 on the set of that production, where he played Michael Corleone and she played Kay Adams, his girlfriend.

These characters married in the film and appeared in subsequent films. The romance, which went from fiction to reality, ended in the early 1990s (and had several ups and downs) because Diane wanted a marriage proposal, which the actor didn't like.

But the fact that Al Pacino didn't take that step was one of his biggest regrets, reveals the Daily Mail.

"Al admits that the love of his life was Diane, he always called her 'a wonderful woman'. I know he will always regret not proposing when he had the chance," a source close to the actor revealed to the British newspaper.

The most curious thing is that none of the actors got married.

Diane Keaton had several romantic relationships that didn't end at the altar, which led her to reveal the following to People magazine in 2019:

"I'm 73 years old and I think I'm the only one in my generation, and maybe in previous ones, who has been single my whole life," she shared with the publication.

In addition to Al Pacino, Diana also dated Warren Beatty and Woody Allen.

Actress Diane Keaton died on Saturday, October 11, at the age of 79, and her last Instagram post was last April, marking National Pet Day (in the US). The actress, it should be noted, never married and became a mother at the age of 50.

Although the cause of death has not yet been revealed, the latest news indicates that Diane has recently begun to take a turn for the worse.

"His decline was very rapid, which was painful for his loved ones," a friend explained to People magazine.

This same source also revealed that his departure was "unexpected" and that not even his closest friends were aware of his true state of health.

Diane Keaton died at the age of 79 on October 11th. Although the official cause of the actress's death has not yet been revealed, the international press reports that her health deteriorated abruptly in the last months of her life.
