TV host Edu Guedes , 51, moved fans and followers by sharing new details about his pancreatic cancer diagnosis on his YouTube channel. Admitted to Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein in São Paulo, the chef and broadcaster underwent four surgeries in just two weeks , including a six-hour operation to remove the tumor.

The video was published this Wednesday (9) and brings an honest and courageous account of the process that led him to discover the disease . Currently recovering in his room, after being discharged from the ICU, Edu remains under medical care, undergoing intense physiotherapy and still using an abdominal drain.

'The pain was excruciating, it felt like a heart attack'

The first sign that something wasn't right appeared back in April. Edu reported experiencing back pain during a week of training for a race in Interlagos, São Paulo. Believing it was a muscle problem, he ignored the symptoms.

"In April, we had a race here in São Paulo the week of the 25th, and I had been having back pain all week. Very bad pain. I took medication, anti-inflammatories, and had a massage, thinking it was something muscular. On Friday, I went to the car feeling very bad, in pain. On Saturday, I had qualifying, and before that, I went to the bathroom and passed a stone, which was in my kidney and must have been 0.4 cm. I started peeing blood that day," he recalled.

Even with this warning sign, he continued with his routine. "I didn't go to the hospital...
