She won the hearts of viewers with her performance in the third season of the series "Biały Lotos". Now Aimee Lou Wood can be seen in the new film by Małgorzata Szumowska and Michał Englert. In "The Idiots", because that is the title, Wood will play alongside Johnny Flynn.

The filming of the new film by Małgorzata Szumowska and Michał Englert is set to begin in June. The main roles will be played by the winner of the BAFTA award for her role in the series "Sex Education", Aimee Lou Wood , and Johnny Flynn , who gained attention for his performance in the drama "Under the Dark Stars".

The screenplay for "The Idiots" is based on the novel by Andrew D. Kaufman entitled "The Gambler Wife: A True Story of Love, Risk, and the Woman Who Saved Dostoyevsky." Its characters are the Russian writer Fyodor Dostoyevsky and his wife Anna , and the action takes place against the background of the events that inspired Dostoyevsky to write "The Idiot."

In the description of the plot of "The Idiots" given by the Variety portal, we read that its characters: Anna and Fedya are on their honeymoon and traveling around Europe. Finally, they stop at a Swiss sanatorium and will not return to Russia for another four years. Fedya, addicted to gambling, keeps squandering money, which his wife accepts with understanding. She believes that her husband does all this to inspire himself to write a masterpiece.

The script for "The Idiots" was co-written by Szumowska and Kasper Bajon . Englert will also serve as the cameraman. Szumowska and Englert previously shot "Snow Will Never Be Again" and "Woman With..." together. Both of these productions were screened at the Venice Film Festival.
