Procigar Festival 2025 successfully celebrates the art of smoking
The Cigar Producers Association of the Dominican Republic closed with a flourish the seventeenth edition of the iconic Procigar Festival , consolidating it once again as the most important event in the tobacco industry worldwide.
During a week of exclusive experiences , tours of the most prestigious factories and unforgettable events, the passion for Dominican cigars was felt in every detail.

The festival nights were the ultimate expression of luxury , culture and the art of cigar smoking . The emblematic White Dinner , held at the majestic Monument to the Heroes of the Restoration in Santiago de los Caballeros, was a tribute to the tradition and legacy of Dominican tobacco.
The night began with an impressive projection on the monument building, showing symbols and images alluding to the tobacco industry and Dominican culture .
In addition, the event was organized with the aim of expanding and adapting the monument's facilities, achieving greater integration of the attendees and giving more prominence to the spectacular view of the city of Santiago .
Art also had its place in this evening with the presentation of the outstanding Dominican plastic artist Yubo Fernández and her impressive exhibition Time is Money .
As part of the exclusive elements of the evening, guests received the iconic White Dinner box, whose design was the result of a contest organized by Procigar , aimed at graphic design students and professionals, achieving a visually striking piece that encapsulates the essence of the event.
As a grand finale to the festival, the eagerly awaited Gala Dinner offered a night of elegance and a spectacular musical opening . The evening also gave way to generosity with the traditional auction of exclusive humidors , unique pieces hand-made by the prestigious producer houses that are members of Procigar .
This year, the auction raised $451,600, funds that will be donated to institutions with a high social impact such as the Jesús con los Niños Volunteer Program and the San Vicente de Paúl Hospice, among other charities, reaffirming the sector's commitment to the well-being of the community.
During the evening, Litto Gómez , President of Procigar , thanked the international visitors from more than 40 countries around the world for their unconditional support and highlighted the hard work of the Procigar Festival organizing team, whose dedication has positioned Procigar as the world leader in the sector.
In addition, as part of the Association 's social commitment, an important announcement was made: the creation of the Procigar Volunteer Program , an initiative led by Michelle Franco de León, Gissel Torres de Guillén, Marisol de Blanco, Massiel Trigo de Espinal and Catherine Llibre, whose purpose will be to strengthen the social impact of the association through donations and community actions.
The cigar producing companies that make up Procigar are Tabacalera Fuente, Tabadom Holding, Quesada Cigars, De los Reyes Cigars, La Flor Dominicana, Tabacalera de García, General Cigar Dominicana, La Aurora, Casa Carrillo, PDR Cigars, Tabacalera Palma and Arnold André. In addition, Mel Caribbean and Kelner Cigars are joining as passive partners this year.
The Procigar Festival 2025 not only reaffirmed the prestige of Dominican tobacco, but also left an indelible mark on all its participants.
