Oscar de la Renta's designs at the World Dance Gala

The 16th Stars of World Dance Benefit Gala will take place this Saturday, September 13, in the Carlos Piantini Hall of the Eduardo Brito National Theater . This year, Spanish dancer Patricia Donn will perform two flamenco pieces wearing costumes by the prestigious Oscar de la Renta fashion house, thanks to a special agreement with the international firm.
The gala will bring together on one stage a cast of distinguished principal dancers from the United States, Spain, Italy, Estonia, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic , who will present a varied repertoire that includes classical, flamenco, and contemporary dance , with traditional pieces and new choreographies created especially for this edition.
Produced by renowned cultural manager Monika Despradel , the staging aims to transform art into charitable action , raising funds for the Nido para Ángeles Foundation , an institution dedicated since 2007 to improving the quality of life of children and young people with cerebral palsy in the Dominican Republic.

- The artistic direction is led by Paul Seaquist and will feature the participation of international figures such as Elisabetta Formento of the Spanish National Dance Company; Cristiano Principato of the Estonian National Ballet; Emma Topolova and Patrick Yocum of the Boston Ballet; Dawn Atkins and Stanislav Olshanskyi of the Miami City Ballet; and Lorena García and Yonger Castellanos of the Otro Lado Dance Company. Representing the country will be the principal dancers of the Dominican National Ballet, directed by Pablo Pérez.

The Nido para Ángeles Foundation has been working since 2007 to support children and young people with cerebral palsy and their families. Its work focuses on inclusion, awareness, and education, promoting a society that values human diversity and eliminates the barriers that limit social participation.
