Candidate for Miss RD Universe Ana Maspons addresses autism
In a deeply moving act full of social sensitivity, Ana Marina Maspons , representative of the Santo Domingo de Guzmán municipality in the Miss Dominican Republic Universe 2025 pageant, starred in a theatrical experience with children and adolescents with autism in an inclusive theater class.
At the event, held at the Wendy Queliz Theater Studio, the first inclusive theater school in the Dominican Republic, Ana Marina shared the stage with members of the theater school with autism , neurodivergence, and Down syndrome, actively participating in theatrical dynamics that stimulate emotional expression, creativity, and confidence.
The young candidate , an early childhood education student and staunch advocate for diversity, said that this piece demonstrated her sensitivity, empathy, and genuine commitment to inclusion.
"Beauty is also social awareness, human connection, and commitment to causes that build a more just and compassionate society," said Ana Maspons .
He added: "I had the honor of living an unforgettable experience alongside these extraordinary young people, who gave me monologues filled with emotion, authenticity , and joy. Their motto before going on stage is "Go out and be happy."
He said that art can be a powerful tool for inclusion, empowerment , and social transformation.
A queen with a cause
Ana Marina Maspons Wiese is a well-rounded and multifaceted young woman: model , visual artist, actress in training and content creator, currently studying Early Childhood Education .
