Claudia Winkleman 'breaks character' on Celebrity Traitors as fans spot 'TV gold'

Claudia Winkleman 'breaks character' on Celebrity Traitors as fans spot 'TV gold'

Claudia Winkleman is usually a pro at staying in her stony-faced Celebrity Traitors persona - however, viewers have spotted the moment where the TV presenter abandoned her roundtable alter ego on the show. Tonight's episode of the hit BBC show saw the remaining stars take part in a high-wire challenge for the chance to add money to the prize pot and win a shield.

While Claudia usually enjoys instilling fear into her castle residents on the show, she was left doubled over with laughter after Alan Carr took part in the challenge. The stand-up comic was tasked with crossing a bridge, suspended several metres up in the air, while Kate Garraway coached him across.

However, Alan wasn't going quietly and shrieked all the way across the bridge. Many fans took to social media to point out how Claudia completely forgot herself during the challenge and was often spotted in fits of laughter at Alan.

"Claudia trying to keep it together while Alan Carr screeches on the wobbly bridge #TheTraitors #CelebrityTraitors," one said on X. Another wrote: "Claudia laughing her a**e off at Alan #CelebrityTraitors."

A third said: "I love Claudia sfm trying not to laugh at Alan on the bridge #CelebrityTraitors." While a fourth said: "Claudia breaking ‘character’ whilst watching Alan I LOVE THIS WOMAN. #CelebrityTraitors."

A fifth tweeted that Claudia watching Alan "scream like a murder victim" was proving to be "tv gold". The laughter came as welcome comic relief after another star became the latest victim of the Traitors.

During tonight's face-to-face murder, comedian Lucy Beaumont became the seventh star to be murdered.

"I'm not happy with you at all," she told Cat, before admitting that she played the game "really, really well".

When Cat apologised, Lucy said: "No, that's not good enough." Speaking after her elimination, she told the show: "There was an element of real shock and feeling betrayed and also relief at finally knowing who they are."

Meanwhile, Cat admitted that she "felt bad" for murdering her friend, but added: "It had to be done."

At the end of tonight's episode, the first Traitor was finally caught by the Faithfuls - with Jonathan being banished at the roundtable.

Celebrity Traitors continues tomorrow at 9pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
