The Armani suit that Queen Letizia wore on a key date in her life

The name of the late designer Giorgio Armani holds a place in the history of the Spanish Royal Family, as his was the legendary white jacket and trousers suit that Queen Letizia chose on November 6, 2003, for her engagement to King Felipe VI, then Prince of Asturias.
The model worn by the Queen at the solemn ceremony immortalized in the Patio de los Austrias of the Pardo Palace sold out immediately , and numerous fashion brands, both large and small, imitated the design due to popular demand.
It was a two-piece silk suit valued at over 2,000 euros at the time. It featured a loose silhouette, a lapel-less jacket with three covered buttons, and straight-cut trousers. It was an elegant and understated look that left all the focus on the bride and groom's commitment and the engagement ring, crafted in white gold and diamonds.

Queen Letizia herself paid tribute to the Armani suit a few years ago, in 2019, when she wore a very similar design by Felipe Varela, one of her favorites, on an official trip to Morocco.
