From Teresa Helbig and Pedro el Hierro to Ecoalf: the winners of the 2nd Spanish Fashion Academy Awards

The Spanish Fashion Academy Awards held their second edition this Thursday, organized by the Spanish Fashion Academy Foundation (FAME) and RTVE, with the Fernán Gómez Theater as the backdrop for the gathering of the biggest names in Spanish fashion.
With the iconic steps of the National Library transformed into a red carpet . The awards recognized the work done by the entire national fashion world over the past year in twelve categories. A night to celebrate, raise awareness, and vindicate this industry, a key part of our country's cultural engine.

The red carpet was attended by Sergio Calderón , director of TVE; Modesto Lomba , president of the Spanish Fashion Academy Foundation (FAME); designers such as Teresa Helbig, Agatha Ruiz de la Prada, Juan Vidal, Marta Rota of Tot-Hom, Moisés Nieto and Custo Barcelona , among others; models Laura Sanchez, Lorena Durán and Paula Willems; numerous actresses, such as Hiba Abouk, Manuela Velasco, Lydia Bosch and Norma Ruiz or Candela Márquez ; athletes such as Ana Peleteiro or Mireia Belmonte and influencers such as Pelayo Díaz, Alexandra Pereira, Violeta Mangriñán and Marta Lozano , among others.
The trophy presented to the winners is a nod and reminder of Cristóbal Balenciaga , a sculpture created by Helena Rohner inspired by one of his iconic bridal headdresses.
All the winning proposals were presented or developed in 2024 and were selected through a vote by the academics who make up the Spanish Fashion Academy, who were also responsible for choosing the finalists. In addition, the FAME Board of Trustees awarded Roberto Verino the special Honorary Prize during the gala.

The Spanish Fashion Academy Awards , organized by the Spanish Fashion Academy Foundation and RTVE , were created to recognize national fashion talent and promote its reach both domestically and internationally. This is a long-standing demand from the sector to showcase and reward the work carried out by each of its stakeholders . These awards are designed to position fashion within our society as a cultural and creative industry that should be supported, serving as one of the best ambassadors for the Spain brand.
