BHD extends the Women Who Change the World Award

BHD Bank has extended the call for entries for the tenth edition of the Women Who Change the World Award until Sunday, June 15.

Over the course of a decade of the award ceremony, which highlights the work of women who transform lives , the banking institution has recognized more than one hundred women , offering them a program of support , advice, and training to strengthen their initiatives, which is extended to the beneficiaries of the work they do.

Josefina Navarro , Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Social Responsibility, emphasized that the BHD "has given visibility to the work carried out by women, often anonymous heroes, for the well-being of people and the development of the country. Furthermore, we have supported them, along with the beneficiaries of their projects, in strengthening their initiatives."

Nominations

Nominations for the Women Who Change the World Award are open to Dominican women aged 25 and older, Dominicans residing in the country or abroad, as well as those of other nationalities with at least 10 years of legal residency in the Dominican Republic, whose non-profit initiative or project has demonstrated results for at least two years in areas such as social action, art, education, entrepreneurship, gender, scientific research, the environment, health, among others.

The rules and application form for the Women Who Change the World Award are available at www.mujeresquecambianelmundo.com.do or can be requested at any BHD Bank branch nationwide. Nominations can also be submitted through these channels. The call for applications will be open until Sunday, June 15, 2025.

The Women Who Change the World Award is the main component of social responsibility associated with gender practices that BHD Bank has been implementing since 2015.

The award consists of a cash prize of one million Dominican pesos for the first-place winner , two prizes of RD$500,000 pesos for the next two places, and RD$300,000 for each finalist.
