Having & Being: On a Spritz Tour

Having & Being: On a Spritz Tour

Bathing season is officially open, and your new favorite swimwear label has also been chosen: Last year it was the ruffled bikinis from Hunza G; in 2025, it'll be the bikinis, swimsuits , and swimwear from Caro Luna . No, that's not a duplication. In the age of social media, no one goes to the beach or pool in a T-shirt and shorts anymore. It should be a color-coordinated sarong, a sexy beach dress, or a blouse. Every swim on vacation is a photo opportunity that won't come around again anytime soon (that is, not until the next vacation).

There are – hahaha – countless swimwear options, but finding something truly amazing is about as difficult as finding the right bra. It should be sexy, but still suitable for swimming (and jumping into). Good quality and high-quality production are a must these days, but those few square centimeters of fabric should still be reasonably affordable. Caro Luna is from Barcelona and was founded five years ago by designer Carolina Ferrer. Everything is designed and produced locally. The Mediterranean influence is unmistakable: Ferrer likes to add small decorative beads and shells to her bikinis and loves bright colors. Women like mega-influencer Leandra Medine wear the more sophisticated models with gold and silver details, which are now also available in swimming pool turquoise in a special collection for the new luxury hotel SLS.

Sound of Summer

Every person in Germany produces more than ten kilograms of electronic waste per year. Used cell phones, cables, printers, and televisions end up in the trash; across Europe, this totals five million tons annually. Some things are a source of regret when you throw them away, like a vintage Schaub-Lorenz portable radio – it was robust, handy, and, thanks to its car battery connection, mobile. The Berlin-based audio manufacturer Teufel is now building on this basic idea: The new Mynd Bluetooth speaker is shaped like a transistor radio, is made from 50 percent recycled material, and can be easily opened for repairs or battery replacement. To reduce electronic waste, the speaker is delivered without a cable; it can be easily charged via a USB-C port; conversely, you can also charge a cell phone with it. The sound from the small case is typical of Teufel, bass-heavy and powerful – and can be daisy-chained with related devices in party mode (Teufel Mynd, €249.90).

A mature and slightly disillusioned star who wants to give his career a new lease on life: It's a tried-and-tested formula for a Hollywood blockbuster, having worked in roles such as "The Color of Money" (billiards, Paul Newman) and "A Star Is Born" (pop star business, Bradley Cooper). Now we have Brad Pitt as an ex-professional who returns to the racing circuit together with a boisterous young driver: The film F1 , which was already announced with great anticipation, opens in cinemas at the end of the month. Experienced Formula One fans will cast their own expert eye on the plot and, above all, the race scenes; for the rest of the audience, it's all about the pure action - and the looks. Racing, after all, has its very own aesthetic, and the Tommy Hilfiger brand appears in the film as a sponsor of the fictional team called APXGP. To ensure that it doesn't just focus on film fashion, the label also launched a real-life (and eponymous) collection featuring quilted jackets, baseball caps, and polo shirts. They didn't have to search far for a model for the accompanying campaign. No, it's not Brad Pitt, but British actor Damson Idris, who plays the young wild one.
